CTET 2018 Notification is  released on the  official website . The official notification of CTET exam 2018 is released in July 2018. The Central Board of Secondary Education will be conducted the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) examination on 16 September. Therefore, all the candidates who are eligible to apply and want to appear in this examination are suggested to fill CTET Application Form 2018 for the examination, after the release of an online form. Earlier the CTET was being conducted twice every year, but as per the latest notification, it will be conducted once every year from now onwards.

CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is conducted by CBSE which aims at providing eligibility for the selection of teachers in all Central Government schools like KVs/NVs etc.. whereby candidates get an eligibility certificate for the appointment of a primary teacher for class I-V and Upper primary teacher for class VI-VIII.  This is just an eligibility test which is required to be passed by the candidates as a qualification criterion. Payment of application fee can be made either through debit/credit/online gateway or through e-challan. The exam will be held in the month of April 2018.

Structure Of CTET

There will be two papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intents to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII

The Central Board of Secondary Education announced a recruitment notification for the teaching vacancies. To shortlist the candidates the central board decided to conduct an entrance test. Eligibility Criteria:

For Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5):

Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

OR

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

For Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6 to 8):

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR
 
Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year  Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).
 
OR
 
Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year  Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

Qualifying Marks And Award Of CTET Certificate

The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.

  • School Managements (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
  • Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

 

CTET Exam Validity:

The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories
