CTET | CTET 2019 | CTET Notification

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct CTET 2019 on July 7 2019. CTET Examination is held twice a year. According to CTET official, “The next Exam of CTET will be conducted on 7 July 2019.

Earlier, the result of CTET 2018 December session was held on 9 Dec 2018. According to the official data released by CBSE 10,73,545 candidates had taken the December exam for Paper 1 wherein 1,78,273 candidates had qualified the examination for Primary school Teacher. For Paper 2, CTET Dec session was taken by 8,78,425 candidates, out of which 1,26,968 have qualified for Middle School Teacher. The result data reflects that the pass percentage of Paper 1 is better than Paper 2.

CTET 2019 Notification is released on the official website. The official notification of CTET exam 2019 is released in July 2019. The Central Board of Secondary Education will be conducted the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) examination on 16 September. Therefore, all the candidates who are eligible to apply and want to appear in this examination are suggested to fill CTET Application Form 2019 for the examination, after the release of an online form. Earlier the CTET was being conducted twice every year, but as per the latest notification, it will be conducted once every year from now onwards. 

CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is conducted by CBSE which aims at providing eligibility for the selection of teachers in all Central Government schools like KVs/NVs etc.. whereby candidates get an eligibility certificate for the appointment of a primary teacher for class I-V and Upper primary teacher for class VI-VIII.  This is just an eligibility test which is required to be passed by the candidates as a qualification criterion. Payment of application fee can be made either through debit/credit/online gateway or through e-challan.

Steps of Submission of Online Application Form:

STEP1: Log on to CTET official website www.ctet.nic.in.

STEP2: Go to the link “Apply Online” and open the same.

STEP3: Fill in the Online Application Form and note down Registration No./Application No.

STEP4: Upload Scanned Images of latest Photograph and Signature

STEP5: Pay Examination Fee by e-challan or debit/credit card STEP6: Print Confirmation page for record and future reference.

Structure Of CTET

There will be two papers of CTET.
(i) Paper I will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes I to V.
(ii) Paper II will be for a person who intends to be a teacher for classes VI to VIII

The Central Board of Secondary Education announced a recruitment notification for the teaching vacancies. To shortlist the candidates the central board decided to conduct an entrance test. Eligibility Criteria:

For Primary Teacher (Class 1 to 5):

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known)

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*.

OR

“Graduation with at least 50% marks and Bachelor of Education (B.Ed)”

“(a) who has acquired the qualification or Bachelor of Education from any NCTE recognized institution shall be considered for appointment as a teacher in classes I to V provided the person so appointed as a teacher shall mandatorily undergo a six month Bridge Course in Elementary Education recognized by the NCTE, within two year of such appointment as primary teacher”

For Upper Primary Teacher (Class 6 to 8):

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed).

OR

Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.EI.Ed).

OR

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed.

OR

Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*. OR Any candidate having qualified B.Ed. Programme recognized by the NCTE is eligible to appear in TET/CTET. Moreover, as per the existing TET guidelines circulated vide NCTE letter dated 11-02-2011, a person who is pursuing any of the teacher education courses (recognized by the NCTE or the RCI, as the case may be) specified in the NCTE Notification dated 23rd August 2010 is also qualified to appear in the TET/CTET.

Qualifying Marks And Award Of CTET Certificate

The candidates appearing in CTET will be issued Marks Statement. The Candidates securing 60% and above marks will be issued Eligibility Certificate.

  • School Management (Government, Local bodies, Government aided and unaided) may consider giving concessions to the person belonging to SC/ST, OBC, differently abled persons, etc., in accordance with their extant reservation policy.
  • Qualifying the CTET would not confer a right on any person for recruitment/employment as it is only one of the eligibility criteria for appointment.

CTET Exam Validity:

The Validity Period of CTET qualifying certificate for appointment will be seven years from the date of declaration of its result for all categories
